New Found Love: Rings

I have recently fallen in love with rings! I love making them, wearings them, and selling them. Rings are great because you can wear a huge, multicolored piece and it will still not be overpowering. They are also great if you want to add a little color to your outfit, but don't like the way bracelets feel on your arms (especially when you are working on something crafty!). I have listed a lot of different styles and shapes in my shop, check it out! www.redazaleas.etsy.com

New Items in the Etsy Shop

The are lots of new items in the shop. I have listed everthing from ceramics to supplies. I will continue to post items everyday, so keep tabs!

Ceramics Coming to red azaleas

For those of you who don't know, I am a ceramics student at Western Carolina University. This summer I am doing an independant study on cups and bowls. I will be selling my creations in the shop. Most of my jewelry items will be moved to the Dan River Art Market (in Danbury, NC), with a few items posted here and there, as I get the urge for beading. I have been doing a lot of studies with Printmaking, so you will be seeing more of that from me also. I feel as though I need to be more focused in my artwork and the things that are important to me. I hope you like what you see!

Mayfest

Mayfest in Pilot Mountian, NC was a success overall. There were a ton of great vendors, but there were a lot of the same types of booths set up. This was a little disapointing because Mayfest is usually a very successful event. To all those that came out and supported the artists, a huge thank you is due. You can see more pictures of the event by visiting my flicker account (there is a link on the right side). Since it was Mother's Day weekend, it was very special to me. My daughter made me lots of cards and cute crafts at daycare and Sunday school. It was so nice to be able to see friends and family from back home. Ahhhhhh, home! I can't wait to get through school and move closer to everything that matters to me. Not to mention, I would have more time for my artwork.

I hope all the Mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Starting Fresh

Whew! It has been a crazy few months. Between school, family, and craft shows their has been little time for Etsy. Today was a house cleaning day on the shop, and tomorrow lots of ceramics will be added. I would keep tabs on new items in the shop over the summer months.... there are a lot of cool things that are going to make it that way!
